How Our Wealth Management Advisors Make a Difference in Their Communities

For over 80 years, Farm Bureau Financial Services has built a reputation of establishing deep relationships within the local communities we serve. We believe in giving back. On the local level, our agents and advisors are known for becoming important resources in their communities, supporting local development initiatives, school activities and many other charitable entities. Each has their own special way of doing so, but collectively we give our time, talent and resources to help benefit the communities we serve.

We’re proud that our advisors not only assist their clients every day in helping to develop creative solutions for their investment needs, but they also give back to their communities in a variety of ways. Read on for examples of how our advisors choose to give back.

Time

Giving of our time is one way we give back to our community. At Farm Bureau there are many examples of how our advisors and agents give back. For example, one of our Wealth Management Advisors enjoys giving his time through his work with a local animal shelter by fostering dogs of any age. Normally for shorter periods with the purpose of either nursing them back to health or to help with their socialization. All in preparation to help them get adopted. Another advisor gives her time by volunteering at a children’s shelter organizing games and activities for homeless youth. These examples of selfless giving from our agents and advisors can go on and on.

Talent

Giving of our talent is another way our advisors and agents contribute to their communities. One Wealth Management Advisor in the Midwest spends one week on an annual basis volunteering with Habitat for Humanity during their Builders Blitz Project. During this time, they are able to build as many as 10 houses within a week, helping to redevelop neglected areas.

Resources

Our resources are our people and include not only the advisors, but also the amazing Home Office employees. We support team employee volunteer days. As one example, one of our teams takes an afternoon or morning to gather quarterly to serve breakfast or lunch at local food shelter for the homeless or stuff back to school packs for underprivileged children.
