How Farm Bureau Wealth Management Advisors Serve Their Communities

We believe in giving back. For over 80 years, Farm Bureau Financial Services has built a reputation of establishing deep relationships within our communities. On the local level, our agents and advisors are known for being important resources and supporting local initiatives, school activities and many other charitable entities. Each has their own special way of doing so but, collectively, we give our time, talent and resources to help benefit the communities we serve.

We’re proud that our advisors not only assist their clients every day in developing creative solutions for their investment needs, but they also give back in a variety of ways. Here’s how.

Time

Offering our time is one way we give back to our communities. One of our Wealth Management Advisors, for example, volunteers as a dog foster parent for his local animal shelter, nursing ill and injured dogs back to health and socializing them so they can eventually be adopted. Another advisor volunteers at a children’s shelter organizing games and activities for young people who are experiencing homelessness.

Talent

Sharing our talents is another way our advisors contribute. One Wealth Management Advisor in the Midwest spends one week every year volunteering with Habitat for Humanity’s Builders Blitz Project. During this annual event, the nonprofit organization builds as many as 10 houses within the week, helping to redevelop neglected areas.

Resources

And it’s not just our advisors who are giving back. Our team volunteer days allow all of our employees to serve as resources in their communities. One of our teams takes a morning or afternoon each quarter to serve breakfast or lunch at a local food shelter or to stuff back-to-school backpacks for underprivileged children.
